Underwater!

In the short list of things I do well that doesn’t include making coffee so strong that it can change your gender, I would list the following:
Diagram sentences
Independent eyebrow movement
Procrastinate
Write
Swim
Now, you probably knew the first four of those, if you know me at all. But I don’t get to show off my swimming ability very [...]

Hello, Boston!

I’m blogging from our new place in Arlington, MA. We’re just outside Boston — specifically, we are 3 houses down from the bus that brings you to the terminus of the red line of Boston’s subway, which brings you anywhere IN Boston. It’s quite a change from the sleepy suburb of McLeansville, NC, where a [...]

Losing Teeth!

Kelsey is making huge profits from the Tooth Fairy!
Her first tooth came out on January 21, right before her day camp at the stables to ride ponies all day. The second tooth came out the evening of January 22, while she was in the bathtub.

Sister

I’ve been pissed off at my sister for most of my life. She’s made the most ass-backward decisions a person can make, in my humble opinion.
No, actually, it’s not just my fucking opinion. I think it’s a universal truth. Her life decisions are where bad decisions go to have one last hurrah before exploding.
But now, [...]

Returning to Work

I’m going back to work. Soon. I’m meeting for an interview next week, and there are a few other companies I’d be willing to work for to which I’m thinking of sending a resume. It’s a step — phase two of my career. I’m ready to climb back into the big machinery that is WORK. [...]
