The letter of the day is “P” Part One

Today is popsicle and playdoh day!
Why, you ask? Well, two reasons: First, I could make grilled cheeses on my back patio. It’s moving upwards toward 100+ degrees today, and popsicles were invented for this purpose.
Second: We’re celebrating REPRESENTATIONAL ART! Kelsey, age 5, created her first sculpture that represents … something! She says it’s a playdoh man. To me, it’s more beautiful than the Venus de Milo. At least K’s has arms!
Hooray for developmental milestones. Usually when I take out playdoh, Kelsey transforms it into millions of teensy-tiny flakes of playdoh that she then feeds to her dinosaurs. Or she runs matchbox cars through it until there is playdoh all over the floor and stuck, forever, in the cars’ wheels.
And now, it’s time for popsicles and for running around in circles in a sugar frenzy. I suppose at some point I’ll have to act like the adult here and actually go to the store and do adult-like things, but the playing with playdoh and looking forward to popsicles, THAT is the life. *sigh*
