Jacob’s Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
I just had a glass of wine that may make me fall in love with Cabernets again. And inspired me to actually write these words — that hasn’t happened in awhile. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a glass of Cabernet so much since the 2001 Estancia.
Lately, in my sporadic wine drinking, I’ve been flirting with shiraz and pinot, looking for that bottle I want to talk about — affordable AND tasty.
But this Cab is definitely on my list. If you love bold reds with amazing taste, go find yourself a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2005. Complex fruity, amazing balance, smooth finish. Wow. And under $20. I paid $9 for it.
Apparently, I’m not the only one to rave.
In 2007, it won the Bronze award at Decanter World Wine, the Bronze from the San Fran Wine Competition, the Silver at Pacific Rim International Wine Competition, the Silver award from Tasters Guild International Wine Judging and the Double Gold from the International Eastern Wine Competition.
