Day 19

I now have proof that my cardiovascular fitness is improving. I did a 3 minute warm-up on the treadmill this morning at 3.3mph, then bumped it up to 3.5 for the rest of the 57 minutes of my workout. I was never breathing hard. My BPM didn’t go over 144.

That’s some positive data. I am considering, albeit with much trepidation, adding in a jog at intervals. I’ve read up on the training strategy in Couch to 5K, and I am certainly not at “couch” stage. Even if I can do intervals of running for a minute, with a 3-minute walk in between, I think that will get me to the next level.

After an hour on the treadmill, I did some weights to work the quads and my arms. I’m gonna feel that tomorrow!
