My 20-year-old Bianchi is still soldiering on, but she lost a kickstand right before the ride. Just..broke off into pieces. Now I’m concerned about other parts that might follow suit.
Today’s 9 mile bike ride was a little tough. Need to remember not to suck down 3 cups of Java right beforehand. At the halfway point, having been going up at an 11% grade, I found myself shaking visibly. I drained my water bottle and took a break, head pounding.
The way home was much nicer. Downhill. It almost feels like cheating, but I earned it on the way up, right?
Feet feel great, but my arms are sore. I need to find a different grip. And up my pace!
